This big, handsome gray and white tuxedo cat is Butch. He was born around 2013. His owner took him in years ago when he was wandering the neighborhood with no apparent owner. His rescuer took in Butch and made him an inside cat, had him neutered and kept up his vaccines. Butch and his rescuer had many happy years together, until she recently passed away.
Butch is a big, lovable couch potato. He likes laying in your lap or hanging out on the sofa with you. He is easy-going with people and other cats. More than anything, he just wants to be petted and loved.
When Butch came to LIFE House, he tested positive for FIV. He probably encountered the virus when he was a stray kitty, out on his own. FIV cats can live with none FIV cats when they don't engage in serious fighting involving serious biting of cats. If an FIV cat is kept indoors, they can live as long as non-FIV positive cats. Butch is big, robust 12 year old kitty who would like nothing more than to have a person/family to love him in his retirement years.
