What better way to start off your weekend than getting some lovin’ from our cats and dogs? On the 2nd Saturday of each month, make plans to visit the LIFE House For Animals anytime between 10 AM – 11 AM to enjoy “Coffee With Cats & Donuts With Dogs.”

You can…

Relax in our lobby and meet adoptable cats. Each room will be let out to play for 10-15 minutes so you can meet all of the cats available for adoption.

Or…

Come down to the play yard where we’ll have tables and chairs set up on the concrete areas. We’ll let out different dogs to meet, greet, and play with everyone.

No registration required – walk-ins are welcome! This event is kid-friendly and family-friendly.

Come join us on Thursdays in June and July at our shelter (14 Fido Ct) from 10 AM – 12noon for our summer Doggy Book Club!

June Dates:
– 6/4, 6/11, 6/18, 6/25

July Dates:
– 7/2, 7/9, 7/16, 7/23, 7/30

Volunteers will lead kids in a craft activity together for the first hour and then kids will break up to read to dogs (and cats) in their kennels. This gives kids a chance to practice their reading skills with a non-judgmental, friendly companion. Plus it helps our dogs and cats socialize to get them ready for adoption!

Kids can bring their own books or we will have a small selection to choose from.

– The event is ideal for kids 7-11 but this isn’t a strict age range.
– All kids must have an adult accompany them and stay for the program.
– The event is FREE.
– No RSVP is required – just show up!

We invite you to come out to support the LIFE House For Animals at locally owned store Completely Kentucky during the Frankfort Summer Concert Series on:

Friday, July 24, 2026

6:30 PM – 9 PM

@ Completely Kentucky, 237 W Broadway St, Frankfort, KY 40601

We will have adoptable dogs and a table with information outside of the store during the concert. The music theme for the evening is reggae and the music is downtown and outside for everyone to enjoy. There’s also stuff for kids to do during the concert!

20% of the sales from Completely Kentucky will go back to the shelter so be sure to stop by, say hi, and do a little bit of shopping!
