He can be very sweet and always wants to snuggle. However, he has snapped at us from the beginning even when we were just trying to get him off the bed. If we reached for him (even gently) he would snap. Then he started snapping about random objects he would get a hold of and wouldn't let us take away. We got him from previous owners who said they were getting rid of him due to his size and their small living space. After we had him, we realized this wasn't true. He has a big bald patch on his neck from overuse of a shock collar and he was very flinchy if you reached for him too fast. I'm nervous that he will bite me, my husband or our children. He has snapped at us multiple times. I've tried to do training with him and he is unwilling to participate. He just lays down and ignores me. We have a new baby on the way and I definitely don't trust him around a baby. We're not sure what to do with him and don't want to just drop him off at a shelter but also don't want to put him a new home before he gets help for his aggression. We never know what he's going to snap over and I've pretty much told my kids to stay away from him and never grab him. He also had a bad ear infection but would try to bite me if I tried to put in the drops from the vet. Eventually I just gave up and the vet put a long term medicine in there.
