He is good with other dogs as long as he is introduced properly and he has lived with cats before, though it's been a long time. He has done lovely with my daughter since she was born (now 4 yo) so he would be fine in a family home as long as kids are respectful of him.
He does have EPI so he's on a special diet (Science Diet w/d + prozyme) and eats 6-9 cups of food a day (when he was younger it was always 9, but now that he doesn't move as much sometimes he only wants to eat twice. He gets 3 cups each meal) Due to the amount he eats, he poops A LOT.
He is a lab/basset hound mix and is approximately 10 years old.
He can be leash sensitive, barking and lunging toward dogs that are barking and tense towards him (though he has never bitten one). He can walk just fine on leash next to other dogs though as I have often dog sat and had him with 2-3 other dogs walking together. He also has a weird quirk where if you pet him while standing and then stop petting him he immediately will jump at/on you which can startle people who were unaware (so always good to warn & to prepare to deflect him).
He is an older dog, so he mostly sleeps during the day, he would love a home with someone who can let him just lay near them most of the day. He does have a "puppy sprint" of energy if you play fetch, which will last about 5 minutes. He loves walks so he can go smell things, but one loop around the block is plenty for him.
