Oscar is deeply protective of the children in our home and even keeps an eye out for the neighborhood kids. He’s a true family guardian, always alert and loving—but never overbearing. He loves to run, play, and be right in the middle of the action. If a siren goes off, expect a concert—howling is his favorite song, and he sings it with pride!
He’s incredibly smart and quick to learn new tricks, especially when treats or praise are involved. Oscar thrives in an environment where he gets both physical exercise and mental stimulation. He’d be a fantastic fit for an active individual or family. He needs to be engaged.
Important Note: Oscar does not do well with smaller animals like cats or small dogs. He’d do best as the only pet in the home or possibly with another large dog after a proper introduction.
