Niko is an intact male husky that we rescued from a neglected home that didn’t want to take care of him. He was starving, ribs showing, had flees and worms when we took him. He was also hesitant to be pet by people so I think he may have been beaten as well.
He is great with people now and enjoys being around them. He has separation anxiety and a high prey drive. He will escape at any chance he gets. We recently learned that he runs over to the neighbors farms and kills their chickens. Our neighbor implied that if it happens again he will shoot him.
Niko gets along with most other dogs he meets and isn’t afraid of strangers. He enjoys being around kids and families. He’s usually just happy to be there.
