This very striking calico girl is Mekay. She was born in 2022. Mekay is the Japanese word for calico. She is a confident girl and loves humans; the foster mom says she particularly seems to like men. Mekay is friendly when she meets new people. She is very f00d-motivated. She will tolerate dogs that are not cat-aggressive, but is not thrilled with them. Mekay is FIV-positive. FIV-positive cats can live with other cats so long as they do not engage in deep biting behaviors or such fighting behavior that is more common with unneutered males that live outside. FIV poses no risk to humans or dogs. FIV cats can live as long as a non-FIV cat.
