Clyde came to us a bit apprehensive, but only because he wasn't socialized. He is learning the ropes here at Lifehouse and is turning into quite the good boy. Clyde is a 1 1/2 year old male hound mix that weighs around 65 pounds. He did great at a recent adoption event at Tractor Supply, but will need a human that is willing to work on socializing him even more. Just because he is a big dog physically does not necessarily mean he is mature socially, but he is definitely learning!
Our adoption fee helps offset the cost of preparing our guests to enter a forever home! While expenses for each animal varies, the average healthy dog or cat receives $500 in medical treatment between intake and adoption. Variables in the cost are conditional based on guest needs with some topping out at thousands of dollars.
Our adoption always includes:
Basic health and wellness check by trained vet staff
Spay/Neuter
Microchip with registration
Up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies vaccine)
Deworming, heartworm prevention and flea control
Basic Groom/Bath
Feline leukemia/FIV Combo test
Heartworm test
