If you are interested in a particular animal, please contact the Adoption Counselor listed at the bottom of this page. The Counselor will set up an appointment to meet with you, allowing you to visit with the animal you are interested in and fill out an adoption application. To save time you can retrieve the adoption application below and email to the Adoption Counselor prior to the appointment or bring it with you.

Adoption Guidelines

To insure that we place L.I.F.E. House animals in loving and safe environments, we have established the following criteria:

Fenced Yards

As a general rule, we prefer any dog that will be larger than 10 pounds as an adult be placed in a home that has a fenced in yard. There are exceptions to this rule, depending on the situation and the particular dog. Exceptions are always at the discretion of a L.I.F.E. House Adoption Counselor.

References

We do require 3 personal references, as well as a vet reference. You can request the list of questions that references will be asked prior to us contacting them.

No Same Day Adoptions

This allows our Adoption Counselor time to process the applications and check references.
